 Questions about the Practice Games?

  • Yes! Many of the games are set up on Google docs or Google slides, which make them interactive. Students can use the materials in a tactile way, almost as if they were using flash cards or other physical materials. Trust me… I was skeptical at first, too - but it really does work!

  • No problem! There are step-by-step tutorials and instructions included for each game… including how to set up the tech aspect. It’s user-friendly, even for the more tech-challenged teachers.

  • Yes! You just won’t need all of the online materials and templates, so you can simply disregard the instructions for the online version and use the instructions and/or materials for the in-person versions instead.

  • The games are all customizable, so you can use them with whatever language you’re currently practicing with your students. For example, you can customize any of the vocabulary games by simply replacing the words in the templates with the words you want your students to practice. The same goes for the grammar points in the grammar games and the sounds in the pronunciation games.

  • Most of the games are more for accuracy practice, so they work great for controlled practice in a lesson or for review sessions. However, since they’re interactive, speaking-heavy games, students will also get some fluency practice as they naturally communicate with each other (or you, in a one to one lesson) during the activities.

  • All of the games work for pre-intermediate (A2) to advanced (C2) level. Just slot in the appropriate vocabulary words, grammar point, or pronunciation issue for your students’ level. You can also play many of the vocabulary and pronunciation games even with beginner students - you’ll just need to give very clear instructions.

  • You’re welcome to purchase any of the game sets individually, or you can bundle all three together for a special discount. If you only want two sets, you’ll need to purchase each one separately. At that point, it probably makes the most sense to go ahead and buy the bundle of all three since that’s not much more expensive than buying two individually!
