How do I join the class?

Just fill out the information in the form above, and click “Submit.” You will receive an email from us and the Zoom link for the class.

Are all of the classes free, or is only the first trial class free?

All of the classes are free!

Why are the classes free?

The classes are taught by teachers who are in a training program - they are taking a course to become certified teachers. In order to complete their teaching certification, they need to practice their teaching skills with real students. So while you are learning English, your teacher is learning how to teach! This is why the classes are free - because the teachers are still practicing.

If the teachers are not certified yet, does that mean the classes are not very useful or fun?

We think you will love the classes! For the teachers, every lesson is like a test - they want to give you a good lesson because they want to do well in their certification program, too! They prepare their lessons carefully and make sure that the class will be useful and fun for you. Each teacher is supervised by an instructor during the class.

What English level do I need to join the classes?

Right now, we have classes for pre-intermediate and upper-intermediate students.

What if I don’t know my level or I’m not sure which level to join?

You can register for the pre-intermediate level class and see if it’s a good fit for you. If it’s too easy, then you can change to the upper-intermediate class.

Can I join the class just to listen? Or do I have to speak?

If you join the class, please speak and participate fully. This means you should have your camera on and use your microphone to talk in the lesson. The teachers need to work with students to practice their teaching skills, and the other students need classmates to speak and learn with. If you join the lesson with no video and you do not speak or participate, the instructor will send you a message in the chat, asking you to participate in the lesson. If you still do not participate, you will be removed from the Zoom meeting.

Do I need to buy anything, like a course book?

No. The teacher will give you all the material you need during your class. You do not need to buy anything. It’s helpful if you have a notebook and pen or pencil with you while you are participating in the class, in case you want to write down any answers or take notes.

I have some friends who want to improve their English, too. Can I invite them to join the class?

Yes! You are welcome to share this registration page with your friends.

Is every class the same? Or is each class different?

There is a different teacher and different material for each lesson. So you can join all the lessons and learn something new every time!

Why are the lessons recorded?

We record each lesson so that the teachers can watch them and improve their teaching skills. The lessons will only be shared with the teachers for training purposes.

If I miss a class, can I watch the recording?

No. It’s really important for our teachers that students join the classes live, because they need students to practice with! So we do not offer the recordings for students. You’ll need to join the class live to get the information. If you need to miss a class, that’s ok! Just come back to the next class when you can.
